WHO ARE THE PRINCE'S TRUST?

At The Prince’s Trust we believe that every young person should have the chance to embrace exciting opportunities. We help them to find the tools and confidence to try free courses and start careers. We are open to young people aged 11 to 30 from all over the UK - no matter if they have been facing serious issues such as homelessness or if they've been in trouble with the law. WHAT IS MILLION MAKERS?

Million Makers is a dragons’ den style fundraising challenge which sees teams of employees, from companies across the UK, compete to turn up to £1,500 of seed funding into £10,000 or more for The Prince’s Trust.

Our Million Makers teams are collectively aiming to raise millions to change the lives of young people. Million Makers is a great way to learn new skills, stay connected and have fun! Teams will deliver a fundraising project from start to finish – writing a business plan, pitching for seed funding investment, and delivering their initiatives over the course of six months.

BRAND NEW for our 2021 competition:

  • Million Makers is undergoing the CPD (Continuous Professional Development) accreditation process – this means that participants can formally count hours spent on the challenge towards their professional development.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to attend a series of Skills Sessions and TED Talk style seminars with business leaders.
  • Participants will be able to volunteer their time to support the young people The Trust works with through opportunities such as CV reviews and speed interviews.

86% of Million Makers participants stated that they developed skills that can be applied in the workplace.

93% would recommend taking part to their colleagues.
